Once upon a time, they were high school sweethearts. They stayed best friends into adulthood... and then fate found a way of bringing them together as husband and wife. It is so neat how God can make something GREAT come out of difficult situations. Although my parent's marriage ended (which no one would ever wish for), my dad has met a wonderful woman Kelley who will take care of him forever and now my mom finally has her best friend to stand by her side the rest of her life.
No one should feel alone and everyone deserves another chance at happiness. I am very happy that Chris and my mom have found that in each other. They are both great people and have many fun years to look forward to ahead of them. Here are a few shots from their special day.
Mom, Katy, and I woke up and got mani/ pedis to kick off the day!
We had lunch at HOUSTONS, my mom's favorite. :) The waiter found out about the wedding and gave us complimentary champagne as congratulations! We Evans girls love our champagne!
At 4:30, they got married on White Rock Lake in a quaint cabin overlooking the lake right at sunset. It was a small, precious ceremony complete with my HOT hubby's vocal talents.
PS Who would have thought it would be in the 60's on December 29th? It was a beautiful and meaningful day for us all.
Here is the video of Logan singing at the ceremony. Dreammmmy.....he did SO good!
After the ceremony, we continued the celebration at Maggianos for a yummy 4 course dinner! We had our own private room and I finally got to meet Miss Callie Jane and hang out with Drew. They did so good! It was so fun getting to hang out with everyone.
NOW for a few GOOD pics from a professional. Check out more of these AMAZING photos from Angela on her website. She is one of my mom's close friends.
It is never too late for happily ever after. Goodbye Debbie Evans, hello Debbie Yarger!
