We whipped out our Cuisinart fondue set for the FIRST time last weekend. We received it as a wedding gift (in 2009) and figured we should put it to good use! (It was literally still in the box) I LOVE eating at Simply Fondue and the Melting Pot but they can get pretty pricey. Why pay when you can do it at home and why have we not thought about this before now?!??!
Although our house still somewhat smells like the cooking oil, it was well worth it! (Any tips on avoiding that issue?) We lit a whole slew of mismatched candles that we had laying around the house, turned on the Adele Pandora station, and cooked chicken, steak, & potatoes paired with salad and homemade vinaigrette. (Logan's specialty) We will for sure be doing this again sometime soon- it was SO yummy!
Any good fondue recipes or pairings we should try next time? Would love to check them out!
We LOVE our fondue and our Raclette! I usually make a Emmental, Comté, and Beaufort fondue. If all we're eating is the fondue, I might add mushrooms to it. Either way, you can't go wrong with melted, cheesy goodness :-)
