HAPPY 5 MONTHS BABY GIRL!!!
What is Miss Stella up to these days?
Well she RECENTLY began sitting up!!! She can balance for a few solid minutes before toppling to the side. It is SO cute :)
She is extremely chatty these days... "Bird calls" are VERY loud... especially in church and restaurants :)
TEETHING... This is no fun. She is drooling and sticking everything in her mouth to gnaw on. Over the past week she's been waking up in the middle of the night (several times) with the PAIN cry... We are just ready for those suckers to break through because she is really miserable.
Rolling over from back to tummy! This has only happened a few times with Daddy... You still get hung up on your right arm sometimes :)
Extremely interactive with your toys! You reach for things and are actually starting to PLAY with them... and that mostly means shaking them or eating them. Your favorite toy to eat is Sophie and you try to stick her entire HEAD into your mouth, haha!
Feet... still grabbing those feet and sticking them in your mouth all the time!
You still love the swing and its a great "babysitter" when Mommy needs to get laundry done or other stuff around the house but something tells me you are about to be "too busy" for it here in a few months.
You are growing more HAIR!!! Compared to other babies it is nothing, but for you it is BIG progess. We call it your duck fuzz.
You are warming up to crowds... You have crashed a few girls nights and a Bunco night and didn't end up ballistic in the back room. You are even letting more and more people hold you... this is GREAT progress little one! Note: We are starting you on Us Weekly and the Bachelor at a very young age ;) (Mom of the Year???)
You have figured out the excersaucer and you love it...for about 15 minutes and then you get bored. You are slowly figuring out how to bounce, but for now you are intrigued by anything and everything that lights up and plays music.
You LAUGHED... We think? Not the belly laugh...but you will occasionally let out the sweetest and cutest little giggle ever.
You've had lots of baby play dates this month and we even joined Square 1 at Watermark with some other new Mommies! (You are by far the oldest- In fact we almost missed the cutoff!)
You have deemed your LOVIE. You HAVE to nap and sleep with this blanket and bunny because they are both so soft. It made us nervous a few nights because you literally rub it all over your face and usually fall asleep with it covering your nose and mouth.
Schedule: You wake up around 7:30 or 8am and eat 6 oz at 8/11/2/5/8 and then we dream feed you 4 oz at 10:30 or 11 before we go to bed... We are going to try and slowly decrease that bottle until you don't need it anymore but it allows us a full nights sleep so we don't mind :) You are a great sleeper but you HATE to nap. Someday we will figure out a way to get you to nap... for now its a battle. Every. Single. Day.

Basically... you are awesome. We love you so much. We love your chunky thighs, your HUGE smiles, your baby talk, and how you will snuggle on our necks when you get tired. We are so excited to see what month 5 has in store.... like your first trip to the beach!!!
I didn't realize that Square One was something they did at other churches! Davis and I did it at my old church here in Austin when he was a newborn, and we still meet with the other moms/kiddos every single week :) It has been so great for us, and I hope it is just as great for y'all!
