A Family Outing!

This weekend we had our first family outing that I can remember since we've been back in Texas! Just Logan. Me. Stella. It was SO fun!  I took them to the Heights Aquatic Center in Richardson for an afternoon in the sun! (And because it is the ONLY way to endure the 108 degree temperatures in Dallas!)

The pool is right off Arapaho Road. In fact, I grew up doing competitive gymnastics at Heights Recreation Center and it has now been bulldozed to make this water park and a new gymnasium! If you live in Richardson it is only $4 to get in and if you are not from Richardson, it is $8 but kiddos under the age of 4 are FREE :) MUCH cheaper than a country club membership! PLUS, they have a splash pad, baby pool, lap pool, water slides, AND a lazy river! So it caters to each and every age group - including adults! Logan and I took turns on the water slides :) 

Afterwards we headed to my favorite sno cone place ever, TC's shaved ice.  It was the perfect ending to an afternoon well spent with my two favorite people in the world! The only BAD thing is that me & Stella's swimsuits were RUINED (and I really do mean RUINED) by the bleach in the baby pool.  I am really sad about it, but have deemed those our "water park" suits so that we don't ruin any others! I guess we know that their pools are CLEAN :)
