I just adore these pictures of Stella in her Mami's dresses.  I had to snap a few before our girl OUTGREW them! My mother-in-law Sheri passed these down to Kristin and then she passed them onto me for Stella right before we moved back from France.  I love the history behind these dresses. Sheri not only wore them, but said she used to dress up her cats in them haha! Although these suckers are very difficult to put on (with the teenie tiny buttons) and almost too pretty to wear, I am so glad we have them to hold onto.  Carter's dresses (although CUTE) have nothing on these precious pieces.  I hope I can find a few items of Stella's that are special and unique enough to pass down through the generations. How precious is my vintage and stylish bebe.... So chic :)

Paris, in Style.....

A few weeks ago, I was finally able to shop at H&M in Limoges. It was heavenly! Logan was lucky and got a chunk of my Christmas shopping done... the problem now lies with me sneaking those items up for our Parisian adventure in a few days. ;)

One of my purchases was a short, boxy, black lace top.  These days I am wearing longer shirts and I had no idea how to wear it, so I reached out to my trusty fashionista friend ERIN.  She came up with 3 inspiration boards to give me some ideas.  I am still SWOONING over her suggestions! After reviewing, I immediately added a fur coat and red skinny jeans to my "wish list." Which board is your favorite? I am still trying to decide, but I think "I Heart Paris" is the most like me since I love incorporating bright colors into my wardrobe.

1. Classic / Tailored

2. Boho Chic

3. Romantic / Girly
Thank you ERIN for helping me plan out my weekend wardrobe :) Read Erin's blog, full of fashion, interior design, and amazing indie tunes HERE.

5 :)

So this morning, we woke up to frost on the grass.  It was 24 degrees. WOW. It seems like France scales right past Fall and straight into (a Dallas) winter... This is JUST the beginning from what I hear... brrrr!!!

So what did we do today? We went to Tulle to go shopping for a warm jacket and some sweaters! When moving over here, we packed most of our summer and early fall attire and left behind the bulky jackets and sweaters in an effort to save space in our suitcases. Our master plan was that my Mom & Chris could bring the winter stuff over at Christmas. WELL it's going to get cold WAY before December 19th! haha (Good excuse for shopping right?)

So in honor of "Sweater Weather" here are 5 cutie knits I found on the web this week.

1.  Topshop
3.  H&M

HAPPY WEEKEND!!

AND

GO RANGERS! Any of my Dallas folks going to the game???

Wishful Wardrobe: Perfect Patio Ensemble

Floral romper, $35
Stuart Weitzman platform wedge, $365
Tory Burch nylon tote, $250
Floppy hat, $20
Ray-Ban RB3362 Cockpit Sunglasses | Official Ray-Ban Store, $139

This weekend was a blast!  Logan and I ventured to Nick & Sam's Grill for brunch and got the most perfect table for 2 outside right next to some blooming pink flowers.  It was so fun to relax, enjoy the sunshine, sip on some Sparkling Sangria / Bloody Marys, and eat some tasty food. The Hass Avocado Guacamole "Block" is to die for!

So back to the outfit... I found this STEAL of a deal romper at Delia's for only $35 and it inspired me to put together a whole "patio" look.  (I more than made up for the $35 romper by pairing it w/ Stuart Weitzmann wedges..but a girl can dream right?) I don't currently own a romper or a floppy hat...but they are both on my summer wish list!

How was your weekend? I cannot wait to tell you about the Karaoke cab... it was unlike anything I have ever done before! :) There will perhaps be video footage and a love story if you are lucky.

My Bday- inspired Wish List! :)

Happy Monday! It is officially my birthday week- woohoo!!! Below are a few items I have had my eye on here lately...BUT I'm really just looking forward to a fun-filled (and short) work week!

love this Tory bag... more than the others!

Now I NEED this since my camera and iPhone broke!

MASSAGE!!! Much needed.

Drive in movie date night... this is perhaps already scheduled :)

Would LOVE this necklace someday...

um THESE are adorable!

We had a chill weekend... Sunday we went to TC's Shaved Ice (my favorite) and ate it at White Rock Lake so we could relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. (although EXTREMELY windy!) It was so cute to see the wide variety of families having picnics, flying kites, or just reading books.  We felt like we were in a different city, away from the rat race and stress!  Then last night I cooked some pizza and we drank wine on the front porch and Logan played the guitar.  It was so peaceful and relaxing.  It's the simple things, right? What did you do this weekend?

In a Tory Tizzy!

Sooooo next week begins our infamous 30/30 at Neimans that happens 4-5x per year for employees! (Logan dreads it every time haha) I have an unused gift card from my BG director along w/ some gas reimbursement $$ from my trek to Los Colinas Studios for our Monday web meetings... SOOOOO all that to say I am justifying a Tory purchase since I will practically be getting it for FREE :)

I am not one for badge brands honestly... I have never personally loved Gucci bags or Louis Vuiton... but there's something about Tory... I just love her classic lines and simple, understated style. Below are the 3 items I have my eye on for this Spring/ Summer... please help me choose! I can only purchase 1... :)

1. Ella Metallic Canvas Tote - I will carry the CRAP out of this thing... I love its shape and size ... and the brown/ canvas combo will match with anything in my closet! It looks very durable as well.

2. Tatum Straw Hobo - This is just adorable... I love the versatility of the straps and the knots on the top handles. Plus, I always love a splash of color and red is one of my favorites.

3. Miller Logo Flat Thong Sandal - I am ROUGH on my shoes (like I destroy them), but I need a dressier alternative to the Rainbows I live in ALL SUMMER LONG! Tempting...

So there you have it... what is your vote? I have 1 week to decide... hmmm....

An Inspiring Valentine's Day Shoot

I cannot stop looking at these pictures!!! I think this is the cutest/ hippest photo shoot I have seen in awhile. I want to be friends with these two :)

It is hard to not be
cheese-ball when it comes to Valentine's Day, but this couple definitely went all out and made it look COOL while doing so. To see the full post visit Ruffled. I would suggest looking at all 90 photos! There is some seriously great inspiration in there!

I'm going to peak your Pinterest...

I am fully aware that I am not an early adopter of this site, BUT I have just recently finally tried it out and I LOVE IT!!! My lovely SIL Erin introduced it to me and it is a GREAT tool to keep all your online favorite images, products, pictures in one place on various "inspiration boards."

I just dipped my toe into this madness yesterday and I am addicted. The site is called Pinterest and you basically save a virtual inspiration board for yourself. You install a "Pin" on your bookmark bar and whatever site you are on you can choose to "Pin" it on your board without ever leaving the current webpage. Example: You are browsing your FAVORITE photographer's blog and you see an irresitible image OR you are on etsy and fall in love with a handmade painting... all you do is click "Pin it" on your toolbar and it will store it for you on your site!

Here are my pins so far... You can view them as a collective group OR you can break them down by category that you assign.

Like I said, I just started but my categories (boards) so far are:
  • Watch Listen Read- music I can connect to, movies that inspire and make me think, books that I can't put down

  • Wishful Wardrobe- If $$ grew on trees and I could have my dream wardrobe, these would be my picks!

  • Dream Home- Inspiration to build our dream home... someday? A girl can dream...

  • Wish List-my list of (hopefully) future purchases...( or gifts)

  • Take me to...- dreamy landscapes/ places I would like to visit someday

  • J'Adore Paris- Everything that I love about France

  • Creativity and Inspiration- images, colors, photography that inspire

  • Let's Make It - everything DIY/ crafty that I love and hope to try
The cool thing is... much like twitter, you watch live as people pin new images. You can also re-pin other's images that you love and want on your board. You "follow" people that you run across that have great taste or simliar interests and believe me- you will be exposed to a whole new world! See a taste below of boards that I "follow."

Each image is linked to its source on the internet so you don't have to worry about copyrighting, PLUS you can discover new & interesting photography/ fashion/ design sites and blogs where people are pulling their "pins" from.

I know we are all on social media OVERLOAD, but you should give this a try. Before, I used to save jpegs of images / items I loved on a folder on my desktop, but now its all online and I don't have to try to remember where I found all of them- they link directly back!

You can follow me HERE.
